What if confidence isn't what you're missing?

I've been thinking about something.

Have you ever met someone who seems to have absolutely no shortage of confidence?

They know what they think. They're not afraid to say it. They can stand behind an opinion with the conviction of someone who has personally verified every fact.

Even when they're spectacularly wrong. 😂

And yet, that same person might tell you they struggle with confidence.

At first, that sounds ridiculous.

But the more I thought about it, the more I wondered if maybe we're using confidence to describe something that isn't quite the same as believing in yourself.

Because you can know you're capable of handling difficult things and still struggle to believe you can create something different for yourself.

You can be certain about what you know today and uncertain about what you're capable of becoming.

And maybe that's why some of us keep trying to build confidence without ever feeling like we have enough.

What if confidence isn't actually what we're missing?

That's what I'm exploring this week over at Brash Body & Soul.

Speaking of Confidence.

Apparently, after all that talk about confidence, Pinky would like to remind everyone that she has an entire edition dedicated to it. 😂

If you haven't met her yet, Pinky is the Confidence Edition of Positivi-Tea.

And no, she's not a jar full of little papers telling you that you're amazing and can accomplish anything if you just believe hard enough.

Each of her 25 slips pairs The Tea—a grounded truth or perspective shift—with The Stir—something practical to help you actually work with it.

Because confidence and self-belief aren't things we develop simply by being told to have more of them.

Sometimes we need to challenge what we're telling ourselves, recognize what we're already capable of, and give ourselves a chance to find out what else might be possible.
