I thought this was just my personality

Hi Reader,

For most of my life, I thought I was just a really prepared person.

I thought everyone mentally rehearsed conversations.

I thought everyone walked into a room and immediately scanned the mood.

I thought everyone tried to stay one step ahead so they wouldn't get blindsided.

It never occurred to me that we weren't all talking about the same kind of "prepared."

Looking back, I wasn't preparing for life.

I was preparing for impact.

That realization completely changed the way I understood my anxiety.

And honestly...

It changed the way I understood myself.

I wrote a new article about that misunderstanding, and I think it might resonate with a lot of people who have spent years believing their survival skills were simply their personality.

If you've ever thought,

"This is just who I am..."

...I hope you'll give it a read.

As always...

Keep it brash.

Keep it true to you.

Because you matter.
