Open your Apple Watch? Ask ChatGPT? Most of us do. Because reassurance feels like relief. And for a few minutes... it is. But here's the problem: Anxiety has a terrible memory. The relief fades. The uncertainty comes back. And suddenly you're looking for another answer. Then another. Then another. That's because anxiety usually isn't looking for information. It's looking for certainty.
